Bienvenue aux étudiants 2026

Welcome to the 2026 students!

Grenoble Alpes welcomes nearly 63,000 students each year, representing more than 180 different nationalities. This year, Grenoble ranked as the 6th best student city in France. Nestled in the heart of the Alpine mountains, Grenoble offers an exceptional living environment, vibrant neighbourhoods, a world-class innovation ecosystem, and a wide range of cultural, sports, and social activities. After being awarded the title of European Green Capital in 2022, Grenoble was named European Capital of Innovation in 2026, confirming its strong commitment to ecological transitions, research, and creativity.

Grenoble Alpes Métropole welcomes its new students by offering free tickets and the opportunity to enjoy unique local experiences and share them with others. These offers are open to all students—newcomers eager to explore the area as well as long-time residents who want to rediscover their territory.

With more than 5,000 registered students from over 80 countries, “Bienvenue aux Étudiants Grenoble Alpes” has been a real success. The programme has allowed participants to discover the region through a wide variety of experiences:

  • Mountain outings: hiking, airboarding, cross-country skiing
  • Football, rugby, and hockey matches
  • Performances at MC2, the Hexagone, and participation in festivals
  • Guided tours of the city with the Tourist Office
  • Creative workshops at La Casemate
  • Scientific discoveries at the Cosmocité planetarium
  • Meetings and visits within major companies of the region

Register quickly—places are limited. Simply fill out the online form and upload your proof of enrolment; you will then receive instructions on how to collect your tickets.

MC2 Concert

Terms of participation


Who can participate?

“Bienvenue aux étudiants Grenoble Alpes” is open to all students enrolled in a higher education establishment in the metropolitan area, on presentation of a certificate of enrolment for the 2025/2026 academic year. In case of high demand, some places will be reserved for students in their first year of higher education, as well as for new international mobility students from these establishments. Check out the rules for the Bienvenue aux Étudiants operation.


When?

Registration opens on September 11, 2025. New offers will be published throughout the year.

Steps to Register

  1. Sign up for the event of your choice using the provided link for each activity.
  2. Fill out the form and provide the required documents (student cards are not accepted).
  3. You receive a registration notification via Weezevent..
  4. Your request is then reviewed and processed.
  5. You receive a final confirmation email explaining the participation details (ticket delivery, collection procedures, etc.).

Enjoy your experience and share it!

Important note: You must wait for the final confirmation and your ticket. The Weezevent registration is NOT a valid ticket.
