Welcome to the 2025/2026 students!
Every year, Grenoble Alpes welcomes nearly 60,000 students of over 180 different nationalities. This year, Grenoble was ranked 6th best student city in the country.
Located at the crossroads of mountain ranges, Grenoble offers an exceptional living environment, a rich cultural life, lively neighborhoods, a world-class innovation ecosystem and a multitude of activities. In 2022, the city was awarded the "European Green Capital" prize, proof of its strong commitment to
social and environmental transition.
Grenoble-Alpes Métropole welcomes students by offering them the chance to experience and share the region's unusual attractions for free.
Last year, with over 1,800 students registered from more than 50 countries, Bienvenue aux étudiants
Grenoble Alpes was a real success! 35 offers were put forward:
- Mountain outings: hiking, airboarding, Nordic skiing...
- Soccer, rugby and field hockey matches
- Shows at the MC2 and L'Hexagone and tickets for festivals
- Guided tours of the city with the Tourist Office
- Creative workshops at La Casemate
- Scientific discoveries at the Cosmocité planetarium
- ...
This year's back-to-school program kicks off in September, with exclusive new offers and even bigger events like the Fluo Party, which will welcome 600 students to the Polesud skating rink!
Register as soon as possible, as places are limited. All you have to do is fill in the online form, enclose your school certificate and you'll receive instructions on how to collect your tickets and take part in the even.

Visit to Biomérieux
Visit Biomérieux and its laboratories! Founded in 1963, Biomérieux is a French company specializing in in vitro diagnostics. Its products are mainly used in the diagnosis of infectious diseases and the detection of micro-organisms in food and cosmetic products. You can visit the laboratories and talk to professionals.

Dance : Mémento at the Hexagone
Join us for an evening at L'Hexagone, a national stage with the Arts & Sciences label, for the Mémento show. The MazelFreten company features 6 performers from all over the world, with hip-hop and electro styles. The choreography is a meeting of different dance styles, cultures and bodies
Visit to a La Poste mail and parcel sorting center
Visit a La Poste sorting center to learn more about how the platform works, and also about the wide range of activities carried out by Groupe La Poste. As an operator of postal services, banking and insurance services, mobile telephony, digital services and e-commerce, it is surely one of the French companies whose business has evolved the most in recent years
Make your own coin purse at La Casemate
Discover the Fablab at La Casemate, France's first Centre de Culture Scientifique, Technique et Industrielle (CCSTI), and take part in a creative workshop where you can make your own purse! The Fablab, a space open to the public and equipped with state-of-the-art machines and tools. Guided by passionate professionals, you'll learn how to use different machines and unleash your creativity to create your own wallet.
Tasting tour at Halles Sainte-Claire
Attention all heritage-loving gourmets! Come and discover the Halles Sainte-Claire and taste delicious local products prepared by the shopkeepers. The tasting tour begins with a visit to the Halles and an explanation of their history by our guide. Afterwards, take part in a tasting session with one of the merchants.
Circus : Ten Thousand Hours at the MC2
Join us for an exceptional evening at MC2, France's leading national stage, for Ten Thousand Hours. In this show, the Gravity & Other Myths company defies the laws of gravity in a firework display of breathtaking acrobatic figures. Good humor and thrills guaranteed !

Join us for an exciting ice hockey match between Grenoble's Brûleurs de Loups and the Angers’s Ducs. Who can participate?
“Bienvenue aux étudiants Grenoble Alpes” is open to all students enrolled in a higher education establishment in the metropolitan area, on presentation of a certificate of enrolment for the 2025/2026 academic year. In case of high demand, some places will be reserved for students in their first year of higher education, as well as for new international mobility students from these establishments.
When?
Registration opens on September 11, 2025. New offers will be published throughout the year.

- You will receive a confirmation email within 10 days.
