Welcome to the 2026 students!
Grenoble Alpes welcomes nearly 63,000 students each year, representing more than 180 different nationalities and the city is frequently ranked among the best student city in France.
Nestled in the heart of the Alpine mountains, Grenoble offers an exceptional living environment, vibrant neighbourhoods, a wide range of cultural, sports, and social activities and a world-class innovation ecosystem. The city was also named the European Capital of Innovation in 2026 and the European Green Capital in 2022.
GGrenoble Alpes Métropole welcomes its students by offering free tickets and the opportunity to enjoy unique local experiences. These offers are open to all students : newcomers to Grenoble and international students who would like to explore the area, or locals who want to rediscover it.
- On the program : tickets to games, shows, concerts, guided tours, student parties, creative workshops, mountain hikes, kayaking, cross-country skiing, and company tours.
Register quickly, places are limited. Simply fill out the online form and upload your school certificate you will then receive instructions on how to collect your tickets.

Téléphérique de la Bastille
Grab a free ticket to ride Grenoble's famous cable car, one of the world's very first urban cable cars. This special offer takes you straight from the city center to the historic Fort de la Bastille, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the city and the Alps.

Join us at Alpexpo from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 8, 2026, for the Grenoble Fair. Discover the Chamechaude ski area, the ideal place for a variety of outdoor activities just 30 minutes from Grenoble! Terms of participation
Who can participate?
“Bienvenue aux étudiants Grenoble Alpes” is open to all students enrolled in a higher education establishment in the metropolitan area, on presentation of a certificate of enrolment for the 2026/2027 academic year. In case of high demand, some places will be reserved for students in their first year of higher education, as well as for new international mobility students from these establishments. Check out the rules for the Bienvenue aux Étudiants operation.
When?
Registration opens on September 10, 2026. New offers will be published throughout the year.

Steps to Register
- Sign up for the event of your choice using the provided link for each activity.
- Fill out the form and provide the required documents (student cards are not accepted).
- You receive a registration notification via Weezevent..
- Your request is then reviewed and processed.
- You receive a final confirmation email explaining the participation details (ticket delivery, collection procedures, etc.).
Enjoy your experience and share it!
Important note: You must wait for the final confirmation and your ticket. The Weezevent registration is NOT a valid ticket.
